The 40oz Bounce was Pure Madness! So many POSITIVE people coming together for fun in the sun...the Contemporary Negro Movement was DEFINITELY STRONG OUT THERE!!! NUFF RESPECT! Its Just a Shame that the NYPD had to shut it down...TOO MANY AFRICAN AMERICANS IN ONE AREA! There "COULD" have been trouble...SMH...FUCK THE POLICE!!! They can't give us credit for shit man. Everyone was coolin out enjoying the weather and music. They had the nerve to kick us out of a PUBLIC PARK!!! But Im glad no one fought back at the time cause it would have proved them right. We need to fight discrimination like this. We as a people were too deep out there. We need to come together more often and fight things such as this, but fight it the right way. Anyway Peep some of the Flix...=) More Pix are Here...

Accessories and Things...

The beautiful thing about repping the culture and heritage is that it can be done in the most subtle ways or in bold outspoken ways. Depends on you. Accessories are a nice way and add a subtle touch to your ensemble. Or go all out Dashiki shirts add some flare and definitely stand out with their intricate motifs. YOU CAN STILL REP YA CULTURE AND FASHION SENSE AT THE SAME TIME!!! Its all about how you put it together. Hair styles also let people know you are in tune with your roots. We are all individuals. We each will go about it in different ways...Check the photos!

Dirty Backpack Krew Photo Shoot (Behind the Scenes)

I was asked by a good friend, and also one of the three creators of Dirty Backpack Krew, to come through and model for their photo shoot. I thought to myself, this would be a perfect opportunity to highlight an African-American owned brand as well as show some of the process of doing a shoot for a clothing line. In between my shots, I brushed up on some photography of my own as well as took pictures of the behind the scenes workings. All the photos I took can be seen Here. A more detailed Profile of Dirty Backpack Krew as well as the photographer Mario Newball will be up in the coming days. For now, Check the Dirty Backpack Krew page and Emdot's Page. ENJOY! =)
